Due to the weather, our homes are closed up during the winter months. Yes, we are protecting ourselves from the frigid temperatures, but we are also trapping dander, dust and mold inside with us. Yikes! To avoid these critters from setting their own home in your home, remember to:

  • Wash drapes at least once every fall in hot water to remove allergens and bacteria.

  • Wipe blinds with a disinfectant solution.

  • Shampoo all the carpets.

  • Change vacuum cleaner filters.

  • Change A/C filters and leave them ready for their summer comeback.

  • Wash all bedding in very hot water (130 degrees Fahrenheit is recommended to kill all germs and bacteria). Make sure to repeat the process weekly.
